The County of Stettler welcomes your interest in our communities and we hope that the information you find on our website will be of benefit to you, whether you decide to locate a business here, visit and vacation here or make it your new home.  We invite you to explore the County and all of the exciting things it has to offer or just put your feet up and enjoy the tranquilty of rural living.  If you are here for any length of time you will find the people throughout the county are friendly, opportunistic and inspired.

The County of Stettler encompasses the rural areas surrounding the Town of Stettlercanoe-web.jpg and includes the hamlets of Byemoor, Endiang, Erskine, Nevis and Red Willow.  Each of these hamlets have their own unique character and are the hearts of their communities.  The Villages of Big Valley, Botha, Donalda and Gadsby and the Summer Villages of Rochon Sands and White Sands are also located within the County's boundaries and we enjoy a great working relationship with them all.

swings.jpgThe area's economy began with homesteaders, farmers, ranchers and the railroad and has evolved to include a large service industry and oil and gas exploration and extraction.  While pursuing economic development and a diversified economy, the County has not forgotten the importance of a healthy and energetic lifestyle, as well as the benefits of rural living.  The County has commitments to several green spaces within its hamlets, supports playgrounds and campgrounds and works hard to ensure that the businesses and people of the county are enthused about their quality of life.

Together with the residents, the Couny of Stettler Council and Administration work grader-web.jpghard to ensure that all services are provided with effciency, high standards and enthusiasm.  The largest service we provide is the building and maintainance of infrastructure including roads, water and sewer systems.   While this takes up a large portion of our budget, we are also responsible for funding the over 30 recreation facilities in the county, vital agricultural services like weed and pest control, protective services like disaster planning, fire, ambulance and road safety, guidance and regulation of development and construction and other quality of life services like garbage disposal, economic development and bylaw enforcement.

sign-web.jpgThe County of Stettler is the ideal place to raise a family, enjoy a quiet, peaceful retirement, plan an adventure  or do just about anything in between! We are very proud of our community and the people who live here.  We welcome you, and hope that you harbour the same feelings for this area as we do!
