Recycling Guidelines


The recycling guidelines tell you what you can and cannot recycle in these bins. Residents must ensure that accepted recyclable materials are put in the appropriate bins. The transfer station operators will be monitoring this closely.

Exciting Updates to the Recycling Program


  • Recycle your MATTRESSES: Drop off location: Stettler Transfer Site
  • Recycle your pens, markers, mechanical pens and lids: Drop off locations: County office, Town office, Public Library, Stettler Schools, Byemoor School, Stettler Learning Centre, Sean's No Frills, Superfluity
  • Partner Program with Diabetes Canada (BLUE BINS) for TEXTILE RECYCLING: clothes, gently used shoes and boots, bedding, sleeping bags, towels, purses and accessories, fabric curtains and stuffed animals! Blue Bins can be located at Transfer Sties in Stettler, Botha, Big Valley, Byemoor, Donalda, Erskine, Gadsby, White Sands and the Regional Landfill as well as Donalda Curling Rink

Toxic Recycling Collection

Toxic Recycling collection is now available year round at the following County of Stettler Transfer Site: Big Valley; Botha; Byemoor; Donalda; Erskine and Stettler. Help us keep these TOXIC ITEMS out of our air, water and soil, and out of our landfill.
