Fee Schedule

In order to review a subdivision, development permit, or other land use application staff from the Planning and Development department undertake site inspections, hold meetings, prepare reports, make phone calls and faxes, print reports, photographs and letters, place advertisements in the newspaper, hold public hearings, maintain files, and do many other things that take time and cost money. The County does not expect ratepayers' taxes to subsidize an applicant for these expenses and therefore, all planning, subdivision, development and land use applications are subject to a fee that goes towards covering a portion of the staff time and expenses to process the application.

The County maintains a fee schedule by bylaw, which describes the fees for all planning and development applications.
