Road Resources
The following road resources are used by the County of Stettler. Click on the links to learn more about each road resource and use on current County of Stettler roads.
Gravel Program
Regular graveling requires approximately 300 cubic yards of gravel per mile, which does vary from road to road. Re-graveling is undertaken in each year on the basis of priorities with consideration to the road classification and the existing gravel condition of the road relative to the amount and type of traffic.

The County of Stettler No. 6 is always looking for sources of gravel. If you know of any sources, please contact the County of Stettler.
Dust Reduction Program
Every year, residents are welcome to contact the County of Stettler Public Works Department for information, price options and to apply for services.

Overweight Permits
The preservation of the County of Stettler's road network is accomplished by the strict enforcement of road bans, issuing overweight routing and permits and encouraging compliance by the road users. The objective of these initiatives is to ensure our roadway infrastructure is maintained to the highest possible level in the most effective and efficient manner. This will allow for the safe and comfortable transportation of people and goods.

It is the responsibility of the driver of the load to know, understand and abide by the Overweight Permit Conditions as set out by the County of Stettler and the Province of Alberta.
Bridges
The County of Stettler maintains 117 bridges and bridge size culverts. Ongoing inspections and ratings of each of these structures is undertaken by the County of Stettler.

Streetlights
Problems with streetlights? If you notice burnt-out or flickering streetlights, please visit ATCO Electric to report online or call 1-800-668-2248 to report the problem. If possible, please note the ID number found on the pole, as this will assist ATCO.
