The County of Stettler has prepared a draft amendment to Land Use Bylaw 1443-10 and is seeking public input. The purpose of the amendment it to integrate the land use regulations used by the former Village of Botha into the County’s current land use regulations. Integrating the former Village’s planning regulations into the County of Stettler Land Use Bylaw will mean that only one Land Use Bylaw will be used to regulate develop in the County.
A Land Use Bylaw is a regulatory document that divides the municipality into different land use districts, and outlines specific rules and regulations for the development of land and buildings in each district. The proposed amendments to the County Land Use Bylaw have been drafted in order to accommodate existing development and carry forward property owner’s rights under the Village of Botha Land Use Bylaw 413/15.
