Bylaw 1644-20 & Bylaw 1647-20: Amend Land Use Bylaw

The County of Stettler has prepared Bylaw 1644-20  & Bylaw 1647-20 to amend Land Use Bylaw 1443-10. Bylaw 1644-20 and Bylaw 1647-20 received first reading from Council at their Nov. 10, 2020 meeting, and is now being circulated for further public review.

Bylaw No. 1644-20 proposes to amend sections of Land Use Bylaw 1443-10 pertaining to Sand, Gravel and Surface Mineral Extractions for clarification purposes. 

Bylaw No. 1647-20 proposes to rezone an approximately 0.96 acre portion of the SE 32-38-18W4M from the Agricultural District to the Public Service District. 

A Public Hearing on the proposed bylaws has been scheduled for December 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm electronically.  The Council Meeting, including the public hearing, will be streamed live at YouTube.com/StettlerCountyYou are welcome to join the live public hearing by teleconference by calling 1-800-309-2350 and entering the conference ID 152-9025 or by submitting written comments via email to jdonovan@stettlercounty.ca The hearing will be chaired by the Reeve.  Persons wishing to join by teleconference will be requested to state their name and address for the record upon being recognized by the Chair. Council will hear verbal or written submissions from any person who claims to be affected by the proposed bylaw. Persons may make oral presentations via teleconference at the Council meeting, regardless of whether or not they have provided written comments.

Following the Public Hearing, Council may proceed with second and third reading to approve the bylaws.
