PUBLIC NOTICE
AMENDMENTS TO THE MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN (BYLAW 1704-23) AND LAND USE BYLAW (BYLAW 1705-23)
Notice is hereby given that the County of Stettler No. 6 is proposing to amend the County of Stettler Municipal Development Plan and the County of Stettler Land Use Bylaw.
Bylaw 1704-23 proposes to remove Section 3 of the Municipal Development Plan which addresses the duties, functions and powers of the Subdivision Authority.
Bylaw 1705-23 proposes to amend administrative provisions of the Land Use Bylaw by:
- Changing the definition of Development Officer to reference the Development Authority Bylaw;
- Removing reference to the use of a separate notice of decision for development permit applications; and
- Removing the section dealing with the role of the Subdivision Authority.
The bylaws may be reviewed at the County Administration Building located at 6602 – 44 Avenue, Stettler, Alberta during regular office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Public Hearings to hear representation concerning Bylaw 1704-23 and Bylaw 1705-23 are scheduled to be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 1:00PM or as soon thereafter as possible, in the Council Chambers at the County Administration Building located at 6602 – 44 Avenue, Stettler, Alberta.
Any person wishing to comment on the proposed bylaws may do so in writing to the Director of Planning & Development, County of Stettler No. 6, Box 1270 Stettler, Alberta, T0C 2L0, or by email to cteal@stettlercounty.ca by August 8, 2023 or make representation at the Public Hearing.
Following the Public Hearing, Council may proceed with second and third reading to approve each bylaw.
